Breathe deeply and calmly, for you are in a good place.

Our Story
A home
is more than just walls
– it’s a state of mind.
In the Dhomek family, we believe that a home only has a soul when it is born
out of respect for tradition and nature.
Our journey into creating unique mobile homes didn’t start with business plans, but with the scent of fresh wood shavings and the sound of a hand plane in the small village of Czernica, in the Kaczawskie Mountains.
It all began in 1976.
That was when Uncle Michał opened his woodworking shop. To outsiders, it was just work, but for his young nephew, Wojtek, it was pure magic.
Wojtek watched with bated breath as an ordinary piece of wood, guided by a chisel and Uncle’s experienced hands, was transformed into objects with a soul.
At the same time, Jan—Michał’s brother and young Wojtek’s father—ran a sawmill in Sobótka, at the foot of Mount Ślęża, a site sacred to the Slavs.
We learned to understand the journey of wood from its very source—from the whisper of the forest and the structure of the trunk to the finished plank. Wood, its healing influence on people, and its natural warmth became our daily bread.

From Drzymała’s wagon to the British moors
Our fascination with homes on wheels is a tribute to the Polish spirit of independence. We are inspired by Michał Drzymała—a man who proved that the longing for freedom and a place of one’s own is stronger than any prohibition.
His wagon became a symbol of self-determination and resistance when, in 1904, he was forbidden from building a house on his own land. Today, we bring into your hands a modern evolution of mobile homes, echoing the form of Drzymała’s legendary wagon.
We blend this Polish defiance with the British tradition of shepherd’s huts. We draw the best from their craftsmanship: an eye for detail, hand-forged elements, and a functionality proven through centuries on the rugged moors.
That’s why we don’t just build walls and floors
— we create Places for a Good Life.
Let’s build
a place together
that your guests
will never forget.
Let’s talk about
your project over coffee
– just like it used to be done, gathered around a shared workshop table.

Why does Dhomek believe in this path?
In collaboration with construction and psychology specialists, we have examined the facts regarding the differences arising from the materials used to create a living space.
That is why we will not compromise
everything possible in our cabins will come from Mother Nature.
Healthy microclimate
&
the scent of wood
We want our cabins to be, quite simply, a good and healthy place to live. We want them to serve you for many years. We want them to be safe for you and for their entire surroundings—now and in 123 years.
In a world full of concrete, plastic, and transience, we are returning to our roots. Michał Drzymała and the shepherds of old knew what we are now rediscovering:
Natural Materials: Wood, linen, cast iron, and wool create a microclimate in which people simply feel better.
Independence: A mobile home offers the possibility of changing the view outside your window without changing the “address of your heart.”
Heritage: We design our cabins so that—much like the wagons of a century ago—they serve not only you but also the generations to come
